Playable Presents Innovation Award to Blizzard Entertainment® for Innovation Excellence in Video Marketing for Redefining Player Engagement with Video In-App Experiences

IRVINE, Calif.—September 23, 2025— Playable Inc. proudly awards Blizzard Entertainment® the 2025 Innovation Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Video Marketing for their groundbreaking use of Playable’s video technology to elevate player engagement through in-app experiences. The award was presented to Sina Zand, Head of CRM Strategy & Lifecycle Marketing, Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

Blizzard has long been recognized for pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment, with iconic franchises including World of Warcraft®, Overwatch®, and Diablo®. In collaboration with Playable, and Braze, the leading customer engagement platform, Blizzard launched in-app messaging initiatives that allowed players to explore trailers, character intros, and other game updates directly within the app. It was done seamlessly, without adding player friction or increasing app download sizes.

Blizzard joined with Playable, a leading video platform, to enable in-app video display formats within their app experience, delivering video content that showcased updates, new titles, and expansions. This collaboration eliminated long development lead times and concerns from game teams about the impact on app update and download times. With Playable resolving the complexities of video delivery, Blizzard’s CRM team focused on creating an exceptional player experience.

Playable, worked alongside Braze to help Blizzard manage player communications across channels and deliver relevant video content. This approach kept players engaged in the game longer, improving the overall user experience without disrupting the in-app environment. By introducing an integrated, user-friendly way to discover new content, Blizzard ensured players remained immersed in their app experience maximizing content ROI without added production complexity.
